Mission Beach


Mission Beach is a secluded beach located 1.5 hrs south of Cairns and 2.5 hours north of Townsville through rich cane fields, banana plantations and historic towns; Mission Beach is a unique and unspoilt haven.
Mission Beach is secluded, yet it is also the perfect base to explore the other wonders of the region; the Great Barrier Reef, Hinchinbrook Island, Dunk Island, Paronella Park at Mena Creek, Atherton Tablelands, Cairns, World Heritage Wet Tropic Rainforest and the Gulf Savannah.

The area boasts many restaurants offering a wide range of cuisine from French, Chinese, Italian and international. Some fully licensed others BYO. As well, there are a host of takeaways, coffee shops and ample retail outlets for those who want to do their own cooking.

Mission Beach not only offers a secluded paradise but offers other exciting opportunities for those seeking a little bit more. Activities such as White Water Rafting, Tandem Skydiving, Horse Riding, Fishing, Sailing and Sea Kayaking are some popular Mission Beach activities. Water based activities include visiting the Great Barrier Reef, Game Fishing, Sailing and Kayaking scuba diving and snorkeling.
